Parade of Homes: Celebrating 50 Years of Building Excellence
The 50th Annual Parade of Homes™ opens on Saturday, April 19th and will run through Sunday, April 27th. “We are proud to show off the local building industry to the community each year during the Parade of Homes. Our members are the key to the success of this popular community event,” said Margie Krpan, BANCF deputy executive vice president.
With 37 beautiful homes in 12 different neighborhoods throughout Alachua County, parade visitors will not only find a variety of home styles and décor but also the most advanced planning in land design and neighborhood development.
The Association has a strong message this year: Now is the best time to buy your dream home. Interest rates are at record lows. There is a great selection, and you can get the features you want right now. A home is an unbeatable investment. Housing is by far the most important single asset on the household balance sheet. Even in down markets, over the long-term, home prices still appreciate more than the stock market.
Most importantly, it’s a home. It’s a place to raise your family, make memories and call your own. Come see what’s new in housing at the Parade of Homes, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. both weekends and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the week. A parade book with floor plans, renderings and a map of all locations will be published in the April 19th Gainesville Sun. Additional parade books will be available at each of the 12 sites. Tickets are $5 per person and children under 16 are free.
