Builder of the Month Tommy Williams

TOMMY WILLIAMS’ first contracting job was initiated by his father, when he suggested to him that he contract to build his own home. As he is a farmer, with a degree in agriculture, he built his home with the pride and craftsmanship he desired for his family. While building his own home he found he had a knack for it. He soon began to build a few more homes while he continued farming and now 26 years later farming is his pastime and creating master-planned communities is his new passion. He prides himself on building homes in the same tradition he built his first, the one his family, and he treats his customers like an extended one.

Simply put, Williams’ desire is to build, “a quality, healthy, energy-efficient home at a reasonable price.”

Many have heard about the stress and frustration of building a new home and Williams’ years in the business have taught him how to avoid those pitfalls for his customers. When asked how, his answer is simple. “We have a entire team, starting with the sales professionals at Bosshardt Realty that work with the buyers through each phase of the process. We have found how to avoid the stress and meet the homebuyer’s expectations. Basically, we like to give VIP service.”

Builders depend on subcontractors and Williams’ team has been with him for years. While in the office last year he overheard a conversation of a customer talking and smiled as they said, “We are so pleased with the craftsmanship… it is excellent”.

How about after the sale? Many times Williams has said that even when something is out of warranty, they will fix it for you. One of his best compliments, as a builder, is that several customers who have bought homes from him have upgraded and bought their next house from him, too. Another testimonial, with his commitment to excellence, is that many times his customers have referred him to their friends.

Tommy Williams homes are one of two companies in Gainesville that meet the Building America Program standards. G
