Women's Medical of North Florida

By Meredith Marsh

RICHARD King, M.D. and Linda J. Grover, M.D. of Women’s Medical of North Florida not only provide care and treatment of their patients, they’re also heavily involved in clinical research. Both are graduates from the University of Florida and have board certifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology. They combined their clinical research practice six years ago and together have over 35 years of experience.

In addition to well woman care, the pair specializes in the treatment of conditions like pelvic pain, urinary incontinence and concerns associated with menopause. The two also have extensive experience in treating pelvic floor prolapse, which is a dropping of the bladder, rectum or uterus, a common but disconcerting side effect of giving birth.

Together, Drs. King and Grover take part in clinical trials and medical research with the goal of providing better care for their patients. They also put in the extra effort to investigate innovative treatment methods that haven’t yet made their way to the States. A prime example is in the introduction of Helica to North America five years ago. Developed in Scotland, Helica incorporates helium and low electrical current to successfully treat endometriosis thereby decreasing pain and improving fertility.

“We want to be able to treat our patients beyond the scope of traditional medicine,” explains Dr. Grover.

“And create an environment where they feel comfortable enough to allow us to provide all types of preventative care throughout their lives,” adds Dr. King.

From childbirth years through menopause, Drs. King and Grover address all aspects of women’s health. They work in concert with other specialists to ensure that their patients receive the best in comprehensive medical treatment. G
