Letter From The Editor
This edition of GT has been themed Home Improvement and you will find some very good articles about local renovation specialists, decor suppliers and decorating ideas for your home. There are also several other excellent stories not related to the theme such as On Freedom’s Wing, The Computer Corner, Paint Out! and Decorator Showhouse. I'm sure you'll find one that interests you.
On the cover is Steve Tinney, owner of 10E & Sons Lighting with his dog Max. The idea is to promote lighting and lighting fixtures of course. And under the right lighting conditions, any mood can be created. Here, Steve created a really relaxed atmosphere; maybe too relaxed.
Our photographer, Pierre Blanchet, always winces when I tell him I want to put a pet on the cover. It is probably more difficult to shoot photos of pets than children. They just don't get it. Everyone else in the shoot is ready, but not the pet. Hence, Max gobbled three bologna sandwiches before we got this picture. All-in-all, he was pretty good and pretty hungry. 10E & Sons Lighting has finally moved into their new showroom out near the Harley Davidson shop and the Best Western hotel at exit 77. It's a must-see. The new place has an outdoor lighting room with a brick walkway, a gazebo and a porch. This room is completely dark so they can show you the exterior lighting in operation. They also have a chandelier room, a complete kitchen, a ceiling fan area and much more. Go visit and tell them we sent you...please.
Please find us again next month as we will be doing the annual Parade of Homes issue featuring a map of the tour, several of the developers, and more decorating tips. Then, find us again in May because it will be our first annual Guide to Gainesville featuring 128 pages of things to see and do, places to stay, business services, restaurants, shopping, physicians, dentists and others.
Thanks again for reading us!
Till next month,
