Where Angels Shop

Valentines Day is just around the corner, and there’s no better time to find the perfect gift for your special someone. Gabbriella’s, a locally owned boutique, offers a wide range of gift ideas for special holidays and special women.

Gabbriella’s carries a variety of bath and body products, decorative items, romantic trinkets, candles and much more, all intended to make women feel their best every day.

“We want every woman to feel beautiful because every woman is beautiful,” says Patricia Gallo, store owner. “Our products are for women who want to take care of themselves and feel good about who they are.”

Upon entering the store it is obvious why the shop’s slogan, “where angels shop,” is true. A sweet aroma of perfume, lotion and potpourri mix together with brilliantly decorated displays and soft music to create a warm and inviting mood.

The staff is very kind and attentive to customer needs, especially when you’re not sure what you’re looking for. “Our products can be very customized and we know them intimately which helps us to find the perfect product for each customer and we’re always happy to help our male customers find that perfect romantic gift,” says Patti.

Jason, assistant manager, works with rest of Gabbriella’s staff to make the store successful. “He would like all the male customers to know he is available nights and weekends for men that are unsure about picking out products for women,” says Patti.

Gabbriella’s carries bath and body products from Crabtree and Evelyn, Lady Primrose, The Thymes and Aromatique to name a few, and most items range from $15 to $20.

Other specialty items include Yankee Candle Company candles, note cards, perfume bottles, lingerie, relaxing CDs, gourmet coffees, teas and honey and aromatherapy pillows.

Even though Gabbriella’s has only been open six weeks, it has already set itself apart from other shops in Gainesville.

“Our goal is to be unique and offer Gainesville something different,” says Beth Plasschaert, store manager. “We always have new products coming in and we’re always really excited about them.”

The store’s personal feel contributes to the exceptional atmosphere. Beth and Patti sample, research and travel extensively in order to find products that are unique to Gainesville.

“Chances are if you can find a product somewhere else, we probably don’t have it,” says Patti. “We want you to see something you’ve never seen before every time you come in.”

Gabbriella’s also offers free gift-wrapping, samples of new products and a mailing list service for its customers. The staff is also available after hours by appointment for professionals who are unable to make regular store hours.

“The store is enchanting,” says Patti. “When you take something home with you, you feel that enchantment and that’s what it’s all about.”

On Valentines Day or any day, as the angels might say, Gabbriella’s is truly a taste of heaven.

Gabbriella’s is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located at 2441 NW 43rd St. in the Thornebrook Village. Please call (352) 37-Angel for more information.
